1 Nenokkadine Review

It been long since I have written a review but yesterday evening after watching 1 Nenokkadine this sudden itch to write a review started. This itch pulled me back to write this blog.

I would say this movie was not for an audience of B & C Center theatres. You will never ever like this movie if you want to see 6 songs, 3 fights, few comedians pulling legs of people and all the characters sing praises of the hero.

1 Nenokkadine is a movie which wont be possible  without Sukumar (The Director). If the movie is concept of only Sukumar I would say he made a fabulous experiment which is rarely appreciated by our Tollywood industry audiences. If anyone has watched Hollywood version Fight Club then the audience will find 1 Nenokkadine concept to have been inspired from it. Once you are into 10 mins of the movie you will  be able to directly connect the movie to Fight Club, as the movie progresses you try to connect both the movies but after sometime you realize that both the movies have parted their ways. 1 Nenokkadine is a movie on its own totally different from Fight Club. I would give fully credit to the team which wrote the story, screenplay and director.

Comming to the story, Gautam (Mahesh) as a kid witness his parents murder but no one believes him, this pushes him into a state of mind where he is not able to distinguish between reality and hallucination. He grows up with only dream to know his past and to hunt down and kill the guys who murdered his parents. You would say its a same old revenge story. Yes, but here come the talent of Mahesh Babu as actor. As Gautam (Mahesh) brilliantly portrayed the pain and the struggle that he under goes to find the truth. The constant battle between the reality and hallucination was nice, which has been rarely shown on the Indian screen. It was nice. The action of Mahesh half an hour before Interval was the best in the movie.

Some parts of the movie in the second half were draggy and slow which made me feel draggy. I would say this could have been avoided the part where he tries to know the past.

I would rate this movie as brilliant by made but as I said was not made for mass audience. This is a movie which will remain as one of the best performance oriented movie by any actor in recent time, more then that best performance of Mahesh Babu. I till be a legendary movie in Mahesh's Carrer which people will talk for ages. Not to forget even Mahesh's Son was also sweet and brilliant for whatever little time he got a chance to be on the screen. He will also be remembered for ages of the debut he had.

Brilliant Sukumar and Awesome Mahesh. I want to see many more such movies in future hope we have some more.

Attack of 26/11

Its been long I have written a blog I would sense its been almost an year. But today after watching the movie of RGV couldn't stop myself from writing this blog.

Attack of 26/11 as a movie that cover the part of the dreadful 26/11 attack on Hotel Taj and various other places in Mumbai and how Ajmal Kasab was captured in the winter of 2008.

The movie captures the whole episode of how the terrorist entered the Indian shores and from where the attack started and how ultimately Kasab was captured.

Best Part of the movie was the role of Nana Patekar as Rakesh Maira Joint Commissioner of Police and Sanjeev Jaiswal as Ajmal Kasab was really gripping. And the lines by Nana Patekar where he says that no religion and no holy war asks to kill innocent people.

Everyone in the audience will surely connect to the whole movie as all of us have witnessed the event through the media coverage.

Many critics have rated the movie as pathetic but as per my judgement its not so bad also.

I would say and I know personally many people keeping complaining about the RGV's movies but surely this is not a movie you would like to ignore or give a skip.

Rightly Said Powerleni Panja

Nee Chura Chura Chura Chupule Panja...

With These kind of words and tune of the song

inspired from Jackson Thriller i feel this movie had set a huge expectations among all Pawan fans.. But sadly it can be said as its a Panja without the Power in other words its a POWERLESS PANJA.

What is Panja?

Panja was perfectly set in Kolkata back drop and with Pawan with his beard look a totally different which he has never tried in any of the previous films was absolutely fitting. The biggest disappointment was the Story which is not gripping neither has the punch of the Panja. With the mafia backdrop as the movie the director couldn't extract the best out of Pawan as a don. I felt First half is Balu, Second half is Aathdu and ending as Commando. Ultimately a mixture of everything.

Next big disappointment was the Heroines who were Cast in the movie, both the female leads were either having a big nose or mouth or teeth. Both didn't have the good looks in their eyes to make them look good. I feel the person who selected them must be questioned.

Best Part of the Movie is PAPA RAYUDU which was rightly given to Brahmam. And as we know both Brahmam and Pawan combination will make you end up laughing. Its the best piece of the movie. I feel he is the second hero of the movie.

Now Coming to Music, you will enjoy the title track and I am sure you not stop listening once instead you will put it in Loop till you start humming. Then the romantic song Ela Ela... is sweet.
Finally, the craze of Brahmam can be understood when a song was dedicated to him. And you will also enjoy the costume of Pawan. They look trendy.

Overall I will say do watch it at least for the sake of Second half and especially for the PAPA RAYUDU song. If you don't want you can give a skip but if you are Pawan fan don't miss it.

Pilla Zamindar

To begin with movies like Ala Modalindi, Bhemili & Asta Chemma were a huge success because they had Nani in the movie.

I was eagerly waiting to watch Pilla Zamindar after I saw few trailers couples of night back. Today it was Saturday and was dying to watch movie. I picked a right movie to make the Saturday evening fulfilling.

Now coming to Pilla Zamindar the movie is really nice. It has lots and lots of moment where you get to laugh and at the end of the movie you feel lite in your heart & mind. If you want to know about the story then its a typical story of 70's & 80's where you have a spoiled kid of a rich family. He neither cares about money or respect people. And it always goes this kid need to mend himself to be a true successor of 5000 crores empire. The whole movies goes about how the Pilla Zamindar realise the real worth of life, people & money.

That's about the story, but the best part in the movie is Nani. One good thing about Nani's movie is like he is like the present day Rajendra Prasad. His character are simple and can easily connect with the audience. His movies doesnt contain too much of masala or over dose of heroism in them. They have always been trying to stick to simplicity. In this movie too Nani truly lives to that expectations. His role is Pilla Zamindar is funny. He portrayed well the role of a spoiled brat and in the second half he find his feet on the ground.

Good thing about the Movie

1. Nice Awesome dialogues. This movie dialogues will talked for long time.
2. Nani as Pilla Zamindar with his attitude, temperament & tone are perfectly matching for the role
3. Timing of dialogues was perfect.
4. Nani and his crime partner of Asta Chemma (Srinivas Avasarala) even though he has a small role in this movie, but definitely a nice character to enjoy.

Disappointment

1. Songs- Except for one song Oopiri... none of the songs are catchy
2. Second half was dragging and the tempo set in first half is not continued.

I don't want you to hold back by reading this blog for long better go watch this movie and have a hearty time.

I assure you, you will enjoy even the last frame of the movie.

Nani has successfully created his own place in terms of Comedy. To be true I enjoy comedy & nice dialogues to laugh so i enjoyed this movie. Hope you too will..

Dookudu Review

After Watching Meri Brother ki Dulhan last week was waiting to watch a nice good movie.

Suddenly Dookudu came up.

1. Mahesh the Hero. If you are hard core fan of Mahesh and if you want to watch the magic of Pokiri or Okkadu to be repeated than please put all those thing to rest. Don't expect that.
2. If you want to get peppered with nice Dialogues or one liners like that of Athadu. Don't expect that.
3. If you want to see some awesome drunkard scenes like that of Venky or D. Don't expect that.
4. If you want to hear some foot tapping music similar to Bridavanam or Ragada or Kick. Don't expect that.
5. If you are a big fan of Samantha and want to see her performance something like that of Ye Maya Chesav. Don't expect that.

Dookudu as a movie

1. Where everything is predictable. If you are regular movie goer then you will realise that from the very first frame every next frame is predictable take the case of fights or song sequence. This is not a movie where you will be get any surprise twist like Pokiri or a free flow story like Athadu.
2. The movie doesnt have a proper gripping storyline.
3. Music is sad and no Punch is available even in the background score. I felt only two songs are worth even giving respect.
4. Too much of fights and that too were nothing much special.
5. Mahesh is trying to live on the lines of Athadu and Pokiri.

Best things in the movie are

1. Enough time for you to have hearty laughs. Mahesh and Samantha in Turkey. The Conversation over there with Sastry and others are a laughter riot
2. The Role of Brahmanandam as a freak man to get role in reality was well portrayed.
3. The Role of MSNaryana as really great in the short 2 min video as Junior NTR of Yamadonga, Ballaya of Simha and Chitti of Robo ,couple of other famous heroes of recent times as a parody was my pick of the movie.
4. It will live to bill of Sreenu Vaitla as a director giving priority to Comedy has lived to his expectations.
5. Mahesh is in love with the role of Police Officers. I guess tollywood is romacing with theme of having hero in Police Officer background in recent times. Mahesh suits well as Police officer.
6. Sreenu also gave back Ramu his share of piece of mind by making fun of him in the movie.

Sad thing to say about the movie

1. All the characters in the movie are short lived and other than Mahesh no one else i guess has
got full screen presence. Everyone expecting to deliver the movie only by charisma of Mahesh but he has not lived to the billing.
2. Sorry for repeating it again but are disappointing part in the movie.
3. Other then the comedians non else has been fully utilised in the movie. Heroine plays the role of a mere glmour doll. Some of the characters who are present in the movie we will never understand why they are there in the movie?

Overall the movie is OK. Watchable and I will say its really a laughter riot if the comedy track was missing than this movie would have also ended in Garbage bin of series of losses. This movie will be remembered for ages for the Comedy sequence. Mahesh as a one liner super start has not lived to the expectations. Sreenu Vaitla has created a hooch pooch dish nothing special to taste at the end of the day.

zindagi na milegi dobara

After Long time I am in a mood to write a blog. Now a days after getting back late from work and spending weekends exploring the country I had little time to write a blog.

On last Friday night I was dying to watch a movie and ended up going to zindagi na milegi dobara. Intially when the movie promos came up I always felt it will be something like Dil Chata Hai. Also after Zoya Akhtar first movie was not a great one I was bit hesistant to watch this one. But after hearing from lot of people that the movie is nice I ended up watching it. And the Verdict is "Nice-Can be watched a Second time"

Good Things about the movie

1. Locations: The whole movie was shot in Spain. This movie can sent to Spanish government to promote their tourism in our Country. Also it was always noted that Akhtar & Co. from their first movie itself always opted for rich & lavish look. Even in this movie the quality of shot and the location selected were exotic. Given a chance i would love to visit all of them.

2. Story Line: The whole theme of Bachelor Party concept is catching up us also. This movie is also based on the same theme. Live your last days of bachelor life with your best pals.

3. Actors: The movie revolves around 3 main characters of Imran, Kabir & Arjun. All three are close friends who have a past and want to move beyond it. I always found Farhan Akhtar as a top class actor with nice timing to pull off a witty prank very easily. In this movie that was very well exploited. I had a nice laughter riot with his own style. For me i really enjoyed the "Bag-wati"

4. Songs: They are not so catchy but go well when you are watching the movie. It went well with the flow of the movie

5. Dialogues: After walking out of the movie you will repeat some of the lines for a long time.

Do watch this movie and have a nice time. Dont miss it dont ignore it. Because you will love it after watching it

100% Love

After spending last few end weeks watching useless Teenmaar & Naanu Na Raakshai was totally disappointed. I had to think twice before deciding to go to 100% Love. I had my doubts about the acting capabilites of the Hero(Naga Chaitnaya) & Heroine (Tamanna). He can't dance or express anything with his facial expressions. She can't other than being a glamour doll.

But as the movie started, i could only see the characcter of Balu(Naga Chaitnaya) & Maha Lakshmi( Tamanna). Sukumar who gave us nice hits like Arya , Arya 2 and Bommarillu proved once again how he uses the actors to fit into the character.

Balu is a person with high levels of male ego and who alsways aims to be on top. He has got a track record of No 1 all through out his student career. Maha Lakshmi, who is a 2nd class student comes to stay with his family to continue her further studies in engineering in the same college of her Bava. Male ego of Balu takes a hit when he find competition in his own house in the form of Maha Lakshmi. She tops in once semester, which hurts his ego. At this point the Female ego has also been captured well in the character of Maha Lakshmi. The movie is all about how in today's world how the Ego plays a major role in the lives of people. Everyone wants to prove a point, no one wants compromise. It was the same years back between the grand fater and grand mother of Balu & Maha Lakshmi. Even they did compromise and lived the life repenting it. In todays world its the same. In the end how the Male Ego of Balu give up for Maha Lakshmi is the story.

Coming to the supporting characters, Naresh, Dharmavarapu Subramanyam and the Kids lived upto their bill. The role of the kids and the dialogues in the first half are amazing taking us on a laughter riot.

Songs are average.

Over all the movie is nice to watch, with lot of lighter moments. If you are a fan of Tamanna and want to watch the curves and this is one more movie you would not like to miss.

Dont miss it.
